I love my Mom!

This morning at around 10 o'clock my Mom passed away. I love her with all of my heart. I will miss her terribly. She loved me unconditionally. . . . .

I arrived in time to hear her last two breaths. We knew it was close but we didn't know exactly how close.

Mom, thank you for your life! Thank you for your love! You supported me in everything I did!
I appreciate  your devotion toward me . . . . . . . . . .

I enjoyed our talks. I'll miss those talks. . . . . .

I close my eyes and try to envision the glorious reunions you experienced today. . . . .

I believe that she helped plan what happened these last 6 to 7 months in the pre-exsistance. I believe that she left us because what she was trying to do was better accomplished in the spirit world. I believe that she left us because she needed to in-order for our family to progress. . . . . . . . . .

A poem by Brad - Let Down Your Net

(From St. John Chapter 21: 3 - 8)

I finished this poem about an hour ago. This poem is dedicated to Mom, who taught me to "let down my net" through her unflinching faith.

By the way, a seine is another name for a net.    (i.e. -  purse seiner)

Let Down Your Net         By J. Brad Chapman

When seas are rough and skies are dark,
and you're sore and stiff and wet.
Tired and weak, with outlook bleak,
you wipe your eyes of sweat.
Remember Him who gave His all,
with no thought of regret.
And grip the seine, (despair refrain)
and now, Let down your net.

Let down your net, let down your net,
Into the unknown deep,
And when you pull, it shall be full,
rich blessings you shall reap.

When times are harsh, and mean and cruel,
and you wince at trials in life.
Burdens call upon us all,
But you’re weary of  the strife.
Remember Him whose end was grim,
but paid your priceless debt
And grip the seine, yes, hope regain.
and now, Let down your net.

Let down your net, let down your net,
Into the unknown deep,
And when you pull, it shall be full,
rich blessings you shall reap.

While travelling on the rocky roads,
of this uncertain  life,
we pass all kinds of obstacles
of which this world is rife.
Remember Him whose life and limb,
were given with blood and sweat
So grip the seine,  mid rough terrain
With faith, Let down your net.

Submission by Brad

Mom, you sent me this small card with this painting on it when we lived in Guam. It was your way of reminding me to be safe and to rely on inspiration from Heavenly Father and Jesus to stay safe. I would tell you about  the typhoons and earthquakes and I know that you were concerned about me so far away. Thank you for your tenderness and loving kindness.
I love you with all of my heart.

Thanks, Grandma Chapman!

Gage got so excited yesterday when we checked the mail and there was a cute Christmas envelope just for him!

We opened it up together and he picked up the McDonald's card and said,

"This is my debit card."

Ha!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Chapman! We are going to take him to get an ice cream sundae tomorrow and we'll be thinking about you the whole time!
